Today I would like to show you the things that I have been doing for the past 5 weeks.
English: I have been reading and writing about a book called the Tomorrow when the war began by a very famous writer called John Marsden.
Science: I have been writing about the adaptations for coconut trees
Coconut Tree:
The coconut trees grow in rainforests, tropical and subtropical areas. The main country that coconut trees are in Malaysia, southern Asia, India, South America and the Pacific Islands. The coconut mainly needs a warm condition for a successful growth.History: I have to learn how Hitler's life was back then.
Hi Prema - Great design for your blogpage and a typical image/portrait for Hitler, eh? - good choice! What are some of the key things that you have learned in the last 5 weeks about him as a person (in your own words/opinion) and why was Hitler so focussed on the Jews in Europe? Cheers, Mr M!
ReplyDeleteHi Prema, I love the novel Tomorrow When The War Began. Who is your favourite character? I love that there are lots of strong girls in the story.

Hello Prema, love the background. I have books about Hitler at home that would interest you.

Hi Prema,
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you back at school today after your recent absences - remember you can use your technology to take photos of other students' work if you need to catch up!? The movie, Sobibor, about the Gestapo Death Camp in Poland, that we've just finished watching in class is quite an emotional and harsh raw look at life for the Jews retained as 'forced labour' at these camps. How do you feel about this stage 6 of Hitler's plans for the removal of the Jews from Europe? You need to be preparing your essay notes/structure and revising now for next week's essay assessment - make sure you do the mahi for a good personal grade for you to benchmark for the year!! Cheers, Mr M!!
Hi Prema - hope you enjoyed the Term 1 unit and you are challenged by your first set of results as a base on which to improve. A lot of the girls found it hard to watch some of the images of the Holocaust. Just imagine how hard it would have been for the Jewish prisoners at Sobibor to see the other Jewish people arriving by train and knowing what was going to happen to them!? Thinking about unfair things - that's the topic for this term's unit - How much do you know about how to make chocolate and where it comes from? I'll be interested to compare your knowledge before and after our unit - and look forward to hearing how you are finding your work in Social Studies this term in your blog! Mr Mc.
